Introduction
Here you’ll find a ships tier list for EVE Galaxy Conquest. When I first started playing, each new legendary ship pull came with flashy animations and big excitement—but not all ships are created equal. The first question that always hit me was: how lucky am I? And the next one: should I invest my Legendary Data Chips to push this ship further?
These are crucial questions for new and free-to-play players working with limited resources. This list is here to help you get the most out of what you have.

Change Logs and Updates
- Added new ships introduced in Season 2 and Season 3
- Adjusted tier rankings to reflect the current fleet meta
- Merged PvE and PvP tier lists into a unified ranking
- Merged the “Nope” and “D-tier” categories into one, and D-tier now clearly signals ships to avoid 😊
- Reorganized article layout—tier list now appears at the top for TL;DR purposes
Ship Tier List
A full ranking of all 37 currently available ships.

Due to the heavy influence of mutaplasmid effects and the variable performance of ships depending on fleet composition and opponents, this list should be used as a reference point for further research—not a final verdict. For instance, take the Tristan—if it has two or fewer red-star promotions, it’s a strong no. But once you pimp it to three stars… hello there, game-changing mutaplasmid. Several ships like this can jump two tiers once they hit key promotion thresholds.
Mutaplasmids are often game-changers. If you have a Legendary ship with 3 red stars, it’s generally worth building a fleet around it. These enhanced stats can outperform any base 0-star ship (Learn how promotions impact ship stats).
Some ships like Machariel, Cynabal, Tornado, and Scorpion are in the game files but not yet available to players. Make sure to check back once a new season starts.
Note: The Hyperion is currently unavailable, as it was exclusive to the Caldari Prime Campaign Memorial Event.

Seasonal Ships
EVE Galaxy Conquest follows a progressive seasonal system. Unlike many other games, you don’t start on the latest season—instead, new players begin on a Season 1 server and advance from there. Because of this, newer seasonal ships might not be available right away depending on your current server’s progression.
You can identify seasonal ships by the star icon in the top-left corner of their card. The number inside the star shows which season the ship belongs to.

Season 2 Additions:
Oracle, Thunderchild, Hyperion (event-exclusive)
Season 3 Additions:
Abaddon, Rokh
Why This Tier List Matters
I created this tier list as a simple, accessible tool to help new players make informed decisions. It’s meant to be a quick, digestible reference—a solid starting point for exploring the complex world of ship and fleet building.
After over 600 hours in the game, I’ve learned which ships are worth investing in and when to hold your Nova for a better special recruitment missions or events. That said, like all tier lists, this one is based on personal experience and opinion.
Even though I tried to apply a consistent evaluation method, ships are never used in isolation. With the current combination of 66 commanders and 37 ships, players can build over 76,000 unique fleet compositions. Since your opponents can field just as many variations, it’s impossible to test every outcome.
Think of this tier list as a strategic overview you can glance at to decide whether a ship is worth your time and resources. I also maintain a similar cheat sheet for commanders—check it out here.
If you’re looking for deeper insights into team synergy, be sure to read my breakdowns of the Top 10 Fleets from Season 1 and Season 2. Those guides go beyond rankings and explain how the combinations actually work in battle.
I’m also working on a full Ship Index and Commander Codex, styled like a wiki—so stay tuned for even more detailed coverage.
Ranking Methodology: Ship Tier Breakdown
This tier list uses the same structure as my Commander Tier List, combining hands-on testing, combat logs, and PvE/PvP performance data to evaluate each ship.
- S-Tier – Ultimate Ships
Top-tier performance across nearly all situations. Hard to counter, highly efficient, and reliable choices for any fleet. - A-Tier – Great Ships
Excellent in specific fleet compositions. Often shine when paired with the right commanders or under ideal conditions. - B-Tier – Good Ships
Flexible and can excel with the right commanders. These ships may counter A- and S-Tier options but have narrow roles. - C-Tier – Mediocre Ships
Situationally useful but unreliable. Best suited for secondary tasks like tile-cleaning, sieges, scouting, or decoys. - D-Tier – Avoid
Underperforming due to bugs, outdated mechanics, or poor stat scaling. Their blueprints are better used to unlock skills or modules for superior ships.
To create this ranking, I followed the same method used for my Commander list. This included:
- Simulation testing
- Farming runs at Guristas Levels 8, 9, and 10
- PvP trials across multiple metas
- Review of detailed combat logs and outcomes from both my fleets and those of my corpmates
This multi-layered approach ensures the tier list reflects real in-game performance—not just theory.
Archived Ship Tier Lists
For historical reference, here are the ship tier lists from previous seasons. While the meta has shifted and new ships have been introduced, these archived snapshots offer useful insight into how ship performance and fleet dynamics have evolved over time.
If you’re curious how certain ships rose or fell in ranking, these archives can help you trace the impact of commander synergy changes, mutaplasmid updates, and new seasonal content.
Final Words
Galaxy Conquest fleet-building is shaped by what you have in your hangar — ship mutaplasmids, and available commanders all influence performance. This tier list is meant to be a reference, not a rulebook — a foundation for building your own theorycrafting journey.
