If you’ve been following this site for a while, you already know I don’t treat EVE Fanfest as “just another gaming event.” After experiencing it in 2023 and again in 2025, I can say this without marketing fluff: this is one of those rare things you’ll remember and talk about years later.
I still remember arriving in Reykjavík in 2023 completely exhausted, cold, disoriented, and then realizing, surprisingly fast, that I felt at home among people I had never met before. That feeling never really left.
EVE Fanfest 2026 is happening on March 14–16, 2026, once again in Reykjavík — right where EVE feels the most right.

If you want to get into the mood already, you can revisit past events together with me through detailed photo reports and personal notes from 2023 and 2025. Walk through the arrival, the chaos, the secrets, and even the quiet goodbye — all captured from the inside, camera in hand.
What’s Planned for 2026
CCP Games has published the full activity program for Fanfest 2026, and it’s packed — but in a good way.
In short, you can expect:
- The core Fanfest days with developer presentations, reveals, and panels
- Multiple official parties and evening social events
- Community-driven activities like the pub crawl, pub quiz, and mixers
- City walks, monuments, and Reykjavík-focused tours
- Optional Icelandic adventures beyond the venue (caves, lavas etc.)
- Charity events and special gatherings at CCP HQ
What I learned over the years is that the official schedule is only half the story. Some of the most memorable moments from past Fanfests happened between sessions — hallway conversations, overheard dev talk, and pub discussions that never made it onto the stage.

I’m keeping this list intentionally compact here; the full breakdown lives on the official Fanfest program page.
The Pub Crawl: A Friendship Machine
If I had to highlight just one event — especially for first-timers — it’s the pub crawl.
This is not awkward networking.
This is a friendship machine in action.
Just recognition, laughter, and that shared “you too?” moment over a drink (can be alcohol free). By the end of the night, strangers feel familiar, and familiar faces turn into long-term connections.

And yes — this is one of those rare places where you might casually find yourself dancing next to the CEO of CCP Games, raise a glass, and salute him with a proper o7.
That doesn’t happen at normal conferences.
Iceland Beyond Harpa (Still a Dream)
After two Fanfests mostly centered around Harpa and Reykjavík streets, I feel like Iceland itself is still calling.
Reykjavík is great, but Icelandic nature is something completely different — raw, quiet, almost unreal. Coming from where I was born and where I live now, that landscape feels like another planet. I’ve seen it through bus windows and photos, but I want to experience it properly.
Maybe 2026 is finally the year.

Fanfest gives you the perfect excuse to combine people, stories, and a place that reminds you how big the world really is.
Tickets, Timing, and Why This Matters
The real weight of Fanfest usually hits at the airport, not at the venue. That’s when you realize this wasn’t just an event — it was a chapter you’ll measure other years against.
If you’re an EVE Galaxy Conquest player and Fanfest 2026 is on your radar, drop a comment below. No promises — but maybe we finally make that first Galaxy Conquest meet-up happen, right there at the top of the world.

Tickets don’t last forever, and yes, it’s an investment. But it’s the kind that turns into memories, friendships, and stories you’ll still be telling many years from now. I’ve been there more than once — and I’d do it again without hesitation.
If you’re still unsure, go back and revisit my 2023 Fanfest saga starting with arrival or the 2025 EVE Fanfest report. Experience it with me first — through photos, moments, and reflections — and then decide.
Some events you attend.
Others become part of your timeline.
