In my Cronos: The New Dawn hands-on impressions, I briefly mentioned a strange little booklet that Bloober Team handed out during Gamescom 2025. At first glance it looks like a playful children’s travel guide, complete with doodles of cats and cheerful “Traveler’s Tips.” But the more you flip through its pages, the more it feels like secret agenda dressed up as bedtime reading.

A Booklet That Feels Like More Than Just Fluff
Titled Shine On, New Dawn! The Guide for Young Travelers, the book introduces the fictional district of New Dawn as if it were a tourist brochure. Each spread highlights a landmark — from the Central Square and Town Hall to the Steelworks, Unity Hospital, and The Abbey — all described with upbeat captions and whimsical sketches.
Yet beneath the kid-friendly style lies something deeper. Factories are glorified, hospitals hint at hidden basements, and monuments loom over the pages. It’s hard to tell if this is just world-building flavor, or if Bloober has tucked away genuine easter eggs and puzzle clues for fans to uncover.
A Gallery for Explorers
If I read the intro correctly, both the text and visuals carry layered meaning. Maybe it’s lore, maybe it’s a teaser for a future puzzle — who knows. Each page seems to whisper a hidden message, and I’m curious what the community will manage to piece together.
For now, here’s a full gallery of the booklet pages for explorers and lore hunters. If I manage to decode the significance of each location, I’ll update this post with notes (marked as spoilers so no worries).

Beyond the Pages – What It Means for Cronos
Bloober Team has a history of blurring the line between surface-level storytelling and hidden subtext. They’ve extended Cronos’ world beyond the demo and into physical form. It’s part collectible, part lore drop, and part satire — and it makes the city of New Dawn feel eerily alive.
As a release reminder, Cronos – The New Dawn is almost here :
- Deluxe Early Access: September 3, 2025 (PC, XBox, PS5)
- Full Release: September 5, 2025 (All platforms, including Switch 2)
Would you sit down and read through every page of a booklet like this, or do you prefer your lore to stay inside the game itself?
