Join the Fun at EVE Fanfest 2025: Activities and Charity

Big news, everyone! I received an invitation from CCP Games and will be attending EVE Fanfest 2025 in Reykjavik, Iceland! It’s a fantastic opportunity to witness all the major announcements for EVE Online firsthand, sneak a peek at new projects, and meet the amazing community of a game I love deeply and passionately.

What Is EVE Fanfest?

If you’ve somehow missed it, EVE Fanfest is a major event held in Reykjavik, Iceland for over two decades. It’s fully dedicated to EVE Online and CCP Games projects. Thousands of fans from around the world, together with hundreds of developers, gather in one place to celebrate the universe of New Eden and the bonds formed through the game. If you want to catch up, you can check out my full coverage of EVE Fanfest 2023.

What to Expect at Eve Fanfest 2025

This year’s event program is packed, with multiple panels, keynotes, and presentations across several stages at Harpa. Choosing where to go will be a challenge by itself!

But Fanfest isn’t just what happens inside the venue – for four days, Reykjavik becomes the true heart of capsuleer life. Dozens of activities take over the city: LAN parties, Queer Night, Walking Tours of all kinds, Tweetfleet Karaoke, and of course, the legendary Party on Top of the World, featuring a live performance by FM Belfast and the homebrewed music band Crowd Kon7rol. And one of my personal favorites – the famous Pub Crawl. Oh boy, how many hours can a capsuleer survive without sleep? We’re about to find out! =))

I’ve also been invited to several closed events and interviews, so my schedule will be tight. But I’ll do everything I can to capture as much as possible and share it here for everyone who can’t be there in person.

Just a heads-up, since I’m a solo indie blogger running around on-site with my cameras, I won’t be posting much the moment embargoes lift. Instead, I’ll be gradually unloading content after returning home – bringing you exclusive coverage, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and a closer look at the people and passion that drive this universe forward.

Meanwhile, you can catch the public broadcasts through the official CCP livestream!

Planning to Attend Too?

If you’re lucky enough to attend, feel free to reach out via the contact form or comments – I’d love to meet up, shake hands, and share a moment! I’ll also be carrying small souvenirs to drop around here and there as swag grabbies for free – so keep an eye out!

The event organizers are preparing a lot of official merch and swag too. So brace your wallets and pockets for all sorts of amazing collectibles!

Charity for Those Who Matter

In New Eden, we’re used to turning each other’s ships into wrecks, setting traps, and carving our name across everything from K-space to Reddit. But outside the game, many of us are parents, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters. And when it comes to real life – to the health and future of children – there are no rivalries. Only one side to stand on.

Once again, Greygal and her amazing team will be hosting charity events at Fanfest to support Barnaspítali Hringsins, Iceland’s Children’s Hospital. Every ISK raised, every item auctioned, and every small gesture will go directly toward helping real kids fight real battles.

This year, donations can only be made on-site – the online page evecharities.org won’t be active during the event. But even if you can’t be there yourself, you can still be part of it: ask a friend who’s attending to donate in your name. There will be forms ready at the charity booth.

As a thank-you, you’ll receive a new physical CONCORD license with this year’s design, mailed straight to you – a small piece of history for a big cause.

There’s also a silent auction filled with rare treasures, with every bid pushing us closer to making a real difference. Last time, the EVE community raised over $40,000. This year, let’s aim even higher. Let’s show that behind every capsuleer is a heart that cares. Because in this universe and beyond, protecting children’s health is one battle we all fight together.

Countdown to Iceland Begins!

Only two days left before this new journey begins! I’m packing my gear, polishing lenses, and preparing questions for the interviews. I can’t wait to dive into the heart of EVE Fanfest 2025 – and bring back all the stories to share with you! See you soon – either at Reykjavik or right here, when the adventure begins!

Fly safe out there,
