Born in Local Chat: Top 75 EVE Online Pearls of Wisdom

Spicy, brutal, and often hilarious, EVE Online delivers unexpected insight—and plenty of pearls of wisdom along the way. Much like memes, these short phrases carry more than just satirical weight. Beneath the laughs, many reveal solid truths about the world of New Eden.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve drifted through the space, picking up quotes, one-liners, and witty gems wherever I found them. And with EVE Fanfest just around the corner, I figured—why not share this collection with a wider audience? To me, these quotes are a big part of EVE culture, and they deserve to be preserved for future generations of capsuleers.

These “pearls” were picked from local chats, a few from corp banter, and character bios. Since I haven’t always been able to verify the original authors, and some lines have shown up multiple times across different pilots, I’ve chosen to omit authorship entirely.

I’ve grouped the quotes by theme so you can pick one to suit your mood or situation. Whether you’re looking to drop some wisdom, poke your enemy after a salty loss, or just entertain. And since I run this site as family-friendly, I’ve lightly edited any harsh language and also made slight improvements to wording and punctuation for better clarity—while keeping the spirit of each quote fully intact.

Feel free to share your own findings or favorite EVE quotes in the comments. Let’s grow this into a top 100!
